I been watching Prisoner on Foxtel cos I'd heard it was a rather iconic Aussie TV show and cos I'd missed it when I was growing up. Set in a sheila's prison, it's a very enjoyable series. Some of the acting is pretty crap, but it doesn't detract from the storylines. What I really like about the show was that it was made back in the late 70s, early 80s before the era of political correctness and the nanny state. There's so much smoking in the show. Cigarettes are the currency in prisons. The cunts who make TV shows wouldn't allow that these days cos there'd be complaints about it bein' a bad influence. In one episode one bloke got referred to as a "fish-eyed poofta". I doubt that would happen these days either. Can't have those precious homosexuals referred to in a negative way. Hahaha.  Grin

Oops bad luck I haven't seen such type of show, since I was not born that time. I just hope it re-open again.
