Well what can you say... good start to the Socceroos world cup campaign.

The aussies dominated this match, however found themselves down mid way through the 1st half via a controversial Japanese goal.

It took until the last 8 mins of the match for the Aussies to bang in 3 unanswered goals.

The excuses are now flying from the Japanese team and fans for the reason of their capitulation 8 mins from fulltime.

1. It was too hot
2. There was no effort by us
3. The Aussies were too physical and played dirty (its called a tackle! At least we dont dive!!)
4. The ref was an Egyptian and we didnt understand what he was saying
5. Did I mention it was too hot?

Keep up the excuses!!! You were smashed by a better team. Get used to it Japan. Your done for in this World cup!

Could we see an upset of mass proportions? I wouldnt rule it out. With Australia a good chance of needing just 1 more point in order to advance to the next stage (Providing Brazil knock off both Japan and Croatia) they will be determined!

My tip: There will be dives galore with many Emmy nominations going to the Brazilian players who will be hit hard by the Aussies physically. Im going a draw 2 - 2.

Yeah woo go Aus!!  The Japanese team can't really complain.. I mean look at their goal!  That was a big bloody foul.  We kicked arse fair and square- we simply outlasted them.  Aus FTW against Brazil!!
