Danny Green's next fight against BJ Flores... Nov 17

SIX weeks after the Paul Briggs fiasco brought boxing to its knees in this country, Danny Green is keen to repay his fans.
Green has agreed to fight American "pocket battleship" BJ Flores in the wake of his last controversial bout against Briggs.

IBO cruiserweight world champion Green announced yesterday he would fight former Golden Gloves champion Flores in hometown Perth on November 17.

Flores, who has an impressive record of 24 wins and one draw, with 15 by way of knockout, is ranked in the top 10 of four of the major world boxing groups.

Green will know he's in for a tough night at the office with Flores, who has used the jab effectively against seasoned performers as Darnell Wilson, world title challenger Epifanio Mendoza and slick southpaw Patrick Nwamu. A former heavyweight, he is likely to outweigh Green by as much as eight kilos for the contest which is set down for Challenge Stadium.

"Flores has got size and power and has a physical presence in the ring," Green said.

"He's arguably the biggest fighter I've ever had to fight and I'm expecting a difficult encounter going up against a very skilful, undefeated boxer.

"But this will be his biggest test and we'll see how he handles the pressure."

Green said he would have been happy to take the fight to any city in Australia but wanted to give it to Perth after the furore which stemmed from his 29-second victory over Briggs in July.

Sydney-based Green didn't want to dwell on the controversy generated by his quickfire win over Briggs, but revealed he had fully co-operated with an inquiry into that fight. "I've done nothing wrong," Green said

This will be a real test for Danny..This guy is a serious boxer/puncher with a very impressive record...Go the Green Machine!

Unfortunatley I dont think it's gunna happen anytime soon....Mundine continues to drop weight divisions (Running like a dog) from Danny Green who seems totally on top of his game ATM...This next next fight with BJ Flores will be his toughest fight in some years now I suggest....But I wouldn't want to see Danny drop all that weight again just to fight fuckwit Mundine....He definatley seems in good form ATM at Cruiserweight...Time will tell I guess??

Your spot on the money there Aussie. Mundine has never tried to take any of Greens titles. Its always the other way round, hence Danny still retains his belts! Mundine can put on the weight easily, its a no brainer, he played NRL at a heavier weight. Green on the other hand is lean as in his own  weight class. Every time he fights the muslim wannabe MUNDINE , Danny drops at least 10 Kilos. Thats fighting with borderline malnutrition! Fuck That!
Mundine has taken titles and holds belts in all of the shitty weight divisions, and wont fight in the states! He dodges all the somebodys and fights bums! If he did, hed now be drinking port in Everliegh street!

Was having a few beers with the current cruiserweight Aussie champ Daniel Ammann last saturday night and he's tipping that Greeny should be good to do the business next wed nite against BJ Flores...I've been watchin some footage of BJ over the last few weeks and he definatley looks like a talented fighter..its gunna be a great match up for Greeny I recon...Hope its a good fight and not a fuckin farse like the last couple have been...Danny has been training hard with some very talented sparing partners over the last couple of weeks...Should be a great fight!

There were some fast finishes and some wars in the ring on the undercard last night in Perth!
But it was awesome to see Danny come out out victorious in the main event and shut down the big mouth Seppo with a very smart fight leaving the first loss of his career on Bj Flores's record!!...Woot!!...Both guys had respect for each others power...but Danny chipped away at him thru all 12 rounds to take it out by unanimous decision.

Did any of you see BJ's mum in the crowd?...FMD!..She looked hot...Total MILF!...LOL
