Youve got the remember when the skyline was at bathurst it was in another class to the V8 commos that it was competing against. How is a turbo charged 4wd going to be blown away from what is designed to be a V6 family sedan?

Skylines were superior for the day but now there is more than enough V8 muscle ( the new LS engine anyone?) to blow away anything nissan gags up.

well everyone else here seems to want to compare the two specific classes of car (i.e. v8's vs turbo 6's/4's) and just because you have realised that yes, in fact turbo 4wd does and always will shit all over ne of ya primitive (FFS the LS2 is a fucking pushrod engine.. cmon holden move out of the 1930s please) V8's.

The truth of the matter is that whilst other countries have advanced (japan, france) and made lower capacity, smarter engines with a higher output, the cavemen that are desigining cars in australia simply adding more litres to get more power.

a 1UZ-FE from 1991 shits all over the LS2 for power to capacity ratio. and its 16 years older.

ford is stepping up to high tech sweetness with DOHC, computer controlled variable length intake runners and what not.

the best car australia has made in the last 30 years is a typhoon, b4 that it was the HO phase III, cuz that was way ahead of its time..

From what i can remember they ditched the monaros in the late 60's to downsize a bit with the torana. The early toranas were far from bulletproof with driveline issues, the only way they caught upto V8 falcons was on the top of the mountain where the falcons couldnt get through the turns fast enough.

Then they stuck a V8 in it and it screamed.... look at the ATCC records to see how the toranas ruled the late 70's. (execpt for that ford 'cobra' thing in '78)

turbos should stay where they belong..... on heavy movers.

What about this< Yesty mornin I went over the servo to get the herald sun, a bloke pulls in in a VS ute overheating. He pops the bonnet, and it has a twin screw whipple superchger sitting on top of a v6! I got talikin to the bloke, he reckons he's gettin 540 hp at the back wheels. The farkin thing was set up that weel that I just had to have good look! Turns out it was just an airlock in the radiator. So after it cooled down and he gave it a drink it burped out all the air, he got it sorted and took off. The farkin thing dropped the biggest blackest skid I've seen a six do ever! No doubt about it, if yer cashed up, ya can get them farkin V-6's hummin!!! Stiil gotta love a chevy/holden/hemmi/ford V-8

Fuckin swoit! There is a Falcon Boss V8 crusin round here with twin hairdryers on it, sounds awesome. We have a new establishment goin up round the back and the cunt in the Ford uses it to show how third gear in his manual will smoke up just as easy as other cars in first! Perfert!

Fucking GRT's Nissans. Great cars awesomely fast but racing against 2 wheel drive cars. Fucking puss buckets still weren't as fast as DJ's Sierra's in a straight line. I'd fucking race a 4wd ricer anyday in 4by.

Ok How to do a burnout

Ricer shit boxes
Pull the hand brake on and let the fucked front wheel drive drag you around like the fuckwits you are.
Ricers with rear wheel drive
Wind the boost up to around 25 psi and then dump it. After that rebuild engine gearbox and diff.
Wouldn't matter anyway . Your fucking stereos go faster than your cars

Holden Owners
Install 9" diff's and Toploader gearboxs first

My Old  69 Falcon 351
Rev it to 6000rpm and side step the clutch.
Whack the clutch again and rip it into second and then pop it again
Repeat for 3rd gear burnouts

for the BA in the drive way with 250RW KW,

Chuck it into D for Drag and use brake and throttle and smoke them 225's streeched onto a 8inch rim.
