the 304's they put in VL's were pretty awesome, considering the cars weight.

bloke i knew with one, was pretty tough car, big hi-rise manifold with the cleaner sticking through the bonnet. Went pretty hard, used alot more fuel than injected cars do these days... but they were no slouch. Certainly alot more torque than the 6's

Yer the VL was a top unit in its day but half the time they're packed with a bunch of woomera escapees doof-doofing around Maccas car park.

Ford made a bloody brilliant turbo Falcon and got aussies to design and build the thing, not stick a rice motor in it.
